Pie Crust

Servings: 3 shells

2 CUP(S) flour
1/4 TSP salt
1 CUP(S) shortening
1 egg
water
1 TSP vinegar

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Cut in the shortening.
Break the egg into a measuring cup, then add water to make 1/2 cup.
Add the vinegar to the measuring cup and mix.
Add the contents of the measuring cup to the flour mixture and combine well.
Portion into thirds.

Special Notes:

~This recipe does not require the dough be chilled. It can be used right away.
~You also do not have to bake these crusts before you fill them (unless it is for pudding of course.)
~This recipe makes 3 pie crusts. You may choose to use it for 3 bottom crusts or a bottom crust, top crust, and decorations.
~When cutting in the shortening, cut with butter knives until the shortening lumps are no bigger than the size of peas.
~Add your favorite filling and bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes; then reduce to 350 degrees 40 - 50 minutes or until done.
