The weekly news update featuring Smokey Bear
Santa has asked the reindeer stables, engineers, and flight command to schedule some repair time for the old training sleigh as he noticed it pulling very hard to the right during this weeks tests and reindeer training when we got over 500 ft above the ground. "This is not normal," said Santa, "there is something a bit off with the aerodynamics, I think. This needs to be fixed before our next flight." During the training flights this week, every time Santa would circle the team back around to the right to come back over North Pole City, the sleigh would take a sudden deep dip; almost to the point of Santa falling out of the sleigh. This definitely needs to be looked into....

"On schedule!", said Santa when asked how things are back in the workshop, now that summer break is over. You could tell how elated he was at the status of the production schedule. He also wants all to remember that we are now in the second half push as it is just about 5 months to Christmas! All production in the workshops and factories are back up to full capacity and the warehouses are buzzing filling up the delivery satellites....

The weekly news update featuring First Ferris Wheel
It is believed that those who have been causing issues for us this year are non-North Pole City resident elves that may have been recruited and trained to know our policies and procedures. Now that we are aware of this, the issue should be under control and more information should be coming soon.
In light of newly found information, directives have come down from Santa this week.
-Santa has asked all elves that live within North Pole City to send a message to the Office of Elf Affairs if you encounter strangers working within your departments or if you see strangers walking through the streets of North Pole City.
-Anyone who accepts a new position will now be introduced to the entire staff by their shift supervisor.
-All workers need to be carrying their new security ID cards at all times....

Update from Santa's Village. Although the workshop is now a few weeks behind schedule, production is moving forward and the pace has been slightly picked up. Santa will be meeting with Edward Hinklemyer and the other supervisors again this week as he is worried that the all of the craftsman elves are working themselves too hard. He has asked that additional work breaks be mandatory and that there will be no overtime approved within the workshop, warehouses, and factories. Santa wants everyone to "not worry about being behind," and is sure production will be back on schedule soon....
The weekly news update featuring Babe Ruth Retires
Update from Santa's Village, Santa has given all of the workers in the workshop, warehouses, and factories the entire week off for rest and relaxation. Dr. Twinklestein has reported a very large number of elves coming into emergency room with heat exhaustion and sunburns due to the high temperatures and sunny weather at this year's "Picnic Basket Relay". Many elves were not able to come to work the following day due to really bad sunburns. Santa wants everyone to take a break, relax, and rest up....

Update from Santa's Village. During the fishing tournament this weekend at Polar Bear Lake it was discovered that several packages from warehouse number 8 had been sunken into the lake. These packages have been fully retrieved and explains the discrepancy in the inventory accounts at the workshop. All of the packages were destroyed due to being water logged and will have to be remade; however, all of the inventory tags have been recovered which will help them figure out which gifts were missing. "There is definitely someone trying to interrupt this year's deliveries", said Santa, "but we will get all caught up and to the bottom of who is causing these issues."...
The weekly news update featuring the First Academy Awards Ceremony
Update from Santa's Village, as Santa unfortunately suspected, there are some issues with the inventory counts on the gifts that are stored within the warehouses and what is being projected on the inventory database. After Santa had met with the supervisors from the workshop and warehouses, he had asked that they re-count the inventory to make sure that there were no issues. When the new tallies came in, it was determined that production is actually three weeks behind schedule instead of being ahead like originally projected. They are not sure at this time how the counts do not match, but every inventory tag is now being scanned to cross-reference the orders that were in the computer in order to help determine where the counts went awry. ...
